Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn. Bhd. is the first Ferroalloy plant to be built in the Samalaju Industrial Park in Bintulu of the Sarawak State. Our plant will be occupying 180h.a. of the land in the Industrial Park. It is expected to step up our production in third quarter of 2013. We are expecting to reach full production capacity at 350,000 tonnes per annum in fourth quarter of 2014. The end-products will be consumed locally as well as to be exported to world-wide countries like Korea, Japan, Europe, U.S. etc.

Construction Manager (Steel Structure)
Sarawak

Responsibilities:

• Preparing the construction schedule in conjunction with the contractors with details of specific activities and respective dates of completion;
• Managing the project schedule and its implementation to ensure its completion within the targeted time frame, quality, and cost;
• Overseeing all construction work carried out from start-to-end of the projects on site;
• Distributing monthly progress report in a timely fashion for clients and attending site meeting;
• Ensuring superior quality levels are being achieved through rigorous site inspection and site measurement;
• Reporting to Project Director twice a month;
• Overseeing, analyzing and monitoring the project development until the issuance of Certificate of Completion of making Good Defects and Certificate of Fitness for Occupation Handling contract tender, which includes sourcing for quotations, terms and cost negotiation and submission for management approval;
• Ensuring that all works carried out are in accordance to the drawings, specifications, construction plan, procedures method statements, etc.;
• Assisting Project Managerto prepare and review project plan.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering;
• Good people skills and capable of managing and motivating people at all levels;
• At least 7 year(s) experience in site development and construction;
• Willing to work in out-station job;
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project and AutoCad;
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and has excellent written and spoken skills in English;
• Good team player with strong leadership skills;
• Independent, responsible, organized and good follow up skills;
• Experienced in Design & Build Projects will be an added advantage.
